WHAT IS THE DOCKMASTER PROGRAM?

The Dockmaster Program consists of trained Volunteer Dockmasters who provide a service (Weekend Aquatics Program) to Scouting Units using the Sea Base. The Units provide their own leadership for their group, but work with the Dockmasters to guide the program. Program elements are designed to provide advancement and fun activity opportunities difficult for most Units to provide themselves; however, these are not Merit Badges classes, they are activity sessions to be assisted by experienced Dockmasters.
WHERE DOES THE PROGRAM TAKE PLACE?

The Long Beach Sea Base is one of the premier waterfront Scouting facilities in the country. It is located off of Apian Way in Belmont Shore. All activites are conducted within the confines of the Sea Base and Alamitos Bay Marina.
