Thanks for your interest in spending a week with us in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains! With over 640 acres and a variety of activities, your week will be filled with fun.

Camp Tahquitz Camp Leaders Meeting

The Long Beach Area Council will be hosting our annual Camp Tahquitz Leaders meeting on Saturday, April 1st at Camp Tahquitz at 1:00 pm and Saturday May 13th at the Long Beach Sea Base, at 1:00 pm. The Sea Base is located at 5875 Appian Way, Long Beach. All camp leadership is invited to attend either one.

Updated 2017 Camp Leader Guides, and other camp forms will be posted on this page and available for you to download after April 1st. Summer Camp Director, Michael Dermody will be conducting the meeting and is more than pleased to answer all your questions to help your troop be prepared for summer camp. Please bring your Summer Camp leadership, including your Senior Patrol Leader.

Register for Camp Tahquitz

Choose from over 20 merit badges: Indian Lore to Nature, Astronomy to Climbing. Additional activities include swimming, horsemanship, high adventure COPE course, BSA Lifeguard, mountain biking, miles of backcountry hiking, shotgun shooting, black powder rifle, and Thunderbird Outpost camp for experienced Scouts.

Trading Post Camp Store

Welcome to our camp store! Camp Tahquitz has a complete Trading Post. Located in the historic Barton Flats store -- a 100 year old cabin in the center of camp -- the store is stocked with many items, including:

  • Leather and  wood carving kits for Merit Badge courses or just for fun
  • Snacks, candy and beverages
  • Souvenirs
  • Merit Badge books
  • Apparel such as fleece jackets, vests, polo shirts, souvenir shirts and socks
  • Patches, patches and more patches.
  • Sundries which include, lip balm, sun screen, chapstick tooth paste etc
