From Tigers to Venturers and even adult Scouters, there are Catholic religious emblems programs which can be earned. For Catholic Scouts these awards provide a fantastic opportunity to learn about "duty to God" and to share with the local Scouting Catholic community.

Long Beach Area Council Catholic Committee on Scouting

The Long Beach Area Council Catholic Committee on Scouting (LBACCCS) exists to provide resources and guidance to those youth and families looking to learn about their faith.

 

2019 St. George Trek

Dates: Wednesday July 3rd 2019 to Thursday July 4th 2019

Location: Philmont Scout Ranch

Note: Each Diocese or Archdiocese may send 2 Scouts. If you know of a Scout who will be 17 at the time of the trek and will be a Senior in High school after the trek or who are between 14-16 currently, please forward their information to Joe Bauer. Joe will be setting up Trek interviews in the May/June 2018 time frame.

Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles

The Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (CCSALA) is a member of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting. The CCSALA's main goal is the promotion of the Religious Emblems program for Catholic youth. It serves several local Boy Scout councils including WLACC. It provides awareness and support for the Catholic religious emblems programs including information, retreats and awards dinners.

National Catholic Committee on Scouting

The National Catholic Committee on Scouting® (NCCS) is a church committee of concerned Catholic lay people and clergy who see as their mission the constructive use of the program of the Boy Scouts of America as a viable form of youth ministry with the Catholic youth of our nation.

The committee, which is advisory to the Boy Scouts of America, seeks to sustain and strengthen the relationship between BSA and the Catholic Church in the United States.
